Rosalinda Posada, a 45-year-old housewife and mother of three from Beeville, Texas, was shot on September 22, 2015, in a home on Charco Road. She was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville, where she died of her injuries. Two other people, Marc Fuentes and Barry Garcia, were also shot that day.
The shooting prompted a major investigation and several arrests. Presiliano Martinez, 36, and Felix Lee Perez, 23, were arrested on suspicion of capital murder in connection with the deaths of Posada, Fuentes and Garcia. Latoya Amador, 30, was charged with tampering with evidence. Martinez later went to a jury trial and was acquitted; Perez and another suspect, Jesse Munoz, 32, continued to face capital murder charges.
The crime shocked the small community and left Posada’s three sons and other families seeking justice. If anyone has information about the shooting or knew Rosalinda or the other victims, please share what might help the ongoing legal process.
