Efrain Trevino, 23, was one of two men killed in a violent attack in La Grulla (Grulla), Texas, on August 20, 2015. Cristobal Carrillo, 24, also died; a third man, Rodolfo Sanchez, 26, was critically injured but survived.

An 18-year-old, Deion Gonzalez, was arrested in connection with the case. He was charged with capital murder and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon; authorities say he was first arrested on an aggravated kidnapping charge and later linked to the double homicide. Gonzalez was held in the Starr County Jail on $1 million bond for each charge.
