Crystal Ann Cuellar, 33, of Jarrell, Texas, was found dead in a grassy field near Interstate 35 in Jarrell on June 9, 2015. She had been dating 41-year-old Erasmo Reyes and was living with him and his roommate, 29-year-old Juan Nuno, in an Austin apartment.

Reyes told others Cuellar had shot herself but said he wanted to dispose of the body because of outstanding warrants and drugs in the apartment. Reyes, Nuno, and another man identified only as Eduardo wrapped Cuellar’s body in a blanket with an accelerant, loaded it into a truck, and drove north on I-35. They stopped near Jarrell for a flat tire; Nuno helped remove the body, dumped it at the roadside, and set it on fire.

Reyes and Nuno were arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence. Investigators said further arrests may follow. Did anyone in the Jarrell or Austin area know Crystal or see a truck stopped on I-35 that night?
