John Harvey Corbin Jr., 39, was shot and killed on May 23, 2015, at Magnolia Park in Beaumont, Texas. Corbin Jr. was struck at least once in the head. Adrian Dwayne Guidry also died in the same shooting; a third person was wounded in the arm and survived.
The investigation produced multiple prosecutions. Michael Jason Green, 34, pleaded guilty to involvement in the killings and received a 35-year prison sentence. Desmond Nixon, 32, was charged with capital murder and tried in Jefferson County but was acquitted by a jury. The differing legal outcomes left family members and the community with unanswered questions about that Memorial Day attack.
If anyone knew John Corbin Jr., Adrian Guidry, or saw activity in Magnolia Park around May 23, 2015, please share information that could help provide more context to what happened.
