Katie Lanell Eager was 24 when she was shot to death in her Cedar Park, Texas apartment on February 17, 2015. She was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the unit on South Lakeline Boulevard. Co-workers described her as determined, kind-hearted, and beautiful; she worked as a manager at Alamo Drafthouse Lakeline.

The investigation concluded her boyfriend, 32-year-old Adam Solis, shot her during an argument about money and then left the scene. He went to his parents’ home in San Antonio and did not contact police until the next day. Solis was arrested on February 18, 2015, and later pleaded guilty to the murder; he was sentenced to 40 years and credited with 629 days served under the plea agreement.

Alamo Drafthouse Lakeline marked the first anniversary of her death with a special screening to benefit the Katie Eager Scholarship Fund established by co-workers and family. If anyone knew Katie or has information about her final days, please share what you remember.
