Vincent Dorsey, 49, was found dead inside an apartment complex in DeSoto, Texas, on January 15, 2015. Neighbors reported hearing a single gunshot about 5 a.m. Responding officers initially didn’t locate anything, but returned about 30 minutes later after additional calls and discovered Dorsey lying face down inside Building #11. Detectives treated the death as a homicide.

Police arrested 30-year-old Latoya Vaughns and secured a second warrant for 36-year-old Terrance Brigham, described by authorities as armed and dangerous. Vaughns was held in the Dallas County Jail on $1 million bond. Investigators towed a car believed to be involved for further examination, and called on the public to provide any information about Brigham. Motive and the precise circumstances of the shooting were not released.
