Earl Edward Clark III, 42, of San Antonio, Texas, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds on January 12, 2015, in a common area of the Townwood Apartment complex in the 500 block of Linda Lane, San Marcos. He and another male, 19-year-old Jay Ryan Guerrero of San Antonio, were located after a 911 call reporting shots fired at about 11:14 p.m.; Guerrero survived with life-threatening gunshot injuries and was taken to a Central Texas trauma hospital. Neither man was a resident of the complex. San Marcos police said the shooting was being investigated as not random and that the Criminal Investigations Division was handling the case. No indication of a threat to the public was reported.
