Humberto Joshua Ramos, a 27-year-old Hispanic man from Midland, Texas, was shot and killed on November 10, 2014. The shooting happened in the early morning in the 500 block of South Carver Street in Midland. Ramos was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital and died during surgery.

Ramos had met three men at Jaguars Club in Odessa earlier that night: Tysone D. Barker, 23, Michael A. Gomez, 22, and Cruz Gutierrez Jr., 21. The men gave Ramos a ride back to Midland; shortly after arriving a confrontation occurred. A witness reported seeing Ramos in a vehicle with the three and said one of the men appeared to be covering a gun with a towel. The suspects fled after the shooting and were later arrested without incident in Big Spring on first-degree murder charges and held on $1 million bonds each. Investigators suggested the shooting may have been drug-related.

Ramos was remembered by family and friends at a funeral service at Templo Bautista La Hermosa in Midland. Does anyone have information about Ramos that could shed light on what led to the confrontation that night?
