I've been following the tragic story of Maria Elena and Ryan Callens, and I just can't wrap my head around how something like this could happen. I wanted to bring up the topic of homeschooling in Zachary's case. From what I've read, he was described by neighbors as sheltered and kind, which seems at odds with what he's accused of doing. It makes me wonder about the level of social interaction and support he might have had outside his family. With homeschooling, the social dynamics can be very different compared to a traditional school setting. I'm curious if anyone knows whether limited social exposure could contribute to emotional and behavioral issues? Were there any warning signs that were missed due to his more isolated upbringing? This case is incredibly tragic, and my heart goes out to the family and community affected by this. I'm hoping we can learn something from it to prevent future tragedies.
