On December 19, 2009, 33-year-old African-American Mackenzie House was killed in St. Louis, Missouri. His death was recorded as a homicide by force, and St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives responded to the scene to canvass for witnesses and reconstruct the timeline of his final hours.
Despite an immediate investigative response, detectives were unable to identify a suspect or make an arrest. The case later went cold and remains an unsolved violent crime in the Homicide Division’s files. Few public details about the circumstances of the attack have been released, and the identity of the person or persons responsible has not been established.
Does anyone in the St. Louis community recall details from December 19, 2009, that could help investigators reexamine this case?
