Damon Robison, 32, of Hughes Springs, Texas, was found dead in his home on June 27, 2014, along with his 12-year-old adopted son. Both had suffered gunshot wounds. A 13-year-old boy who was their biological son called 911 to report the incident; he was not injured and was taken into custody and questioned by authorities.

The Texas Rangers led the investigation and recovered a semiautomatic pistol at the scene.
