Johnny Lee Saxon, 47, of Driftwood, Texas, was shot and killed on June 4, 2014, in the Rolling Oaks subdivision near Driftwood. The shooting happened in the 400 block of Todo Lane. Saxon’s wife identified 27-year-old Louis Antonio Ramos Jr. as the shooter.

Ramos fled the scene in a brown van but was later located after a 911 call about a suspicious person. He had a gunshot wound to his leg, was treated at a hospital, and was taken to the Hays County Jail. Reports say Ramos had been involved in an altercation with Saxon that led to the fatal shooting; he was charged with murder and turned himself in about 18 hours after the incident.
