Kenny Perez, 30, was shot and killed on January 19, 2014, during an altercation at Taqueria El Taco Regio in Arcola, Texas. The shooting happened about 10:20 p.m. Perez and his father were involved in a confrontation with four other men when one of the suspects produced a gun and opened fire. Perez was fatally wounded; his father suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach and was taken to a nearby hospital. A woman at a nearby table was also struck in the foot and did not require hospital treatment.
Investigators described the suspects in detail: a person of interest who is a Hispanic male about 5 feet 8 inches with a slender build, wearing red pants and a blue shirt with a prominent logo, closely cropped hair and a bead necklace; a slightly taller, bigger-built man in a blue synthetic jacket with sunglasses on his head; a man with a crew cut; and a man in a plaid shirt and baseball cap. No arrests have been announced and the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office has offered up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to arrests.
