On May 8, 2011, 28-year-old Shauna McLean Lopez was shot and killed at her parents’ home in North-lake, Texas. Shauna had been staying with her 1-year-old child at the McLean residence when the attack occurred. Her parents, Pat and Deena McLean, were also shot; other relatives and Shauna’s child escaped without physical harm.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Department reports that Shauna’s estranged husband, 29-year-old Jose Antonio Lopez, arrived at the property armed with a shotgun, shot Pat McLean in the front yard, then entered the home and shot Deena McLean and Shauna Lopez. After the shootings, Lopez fled; during a subsequent pursuit he crashed into a police cruiser and was killed on impact. The department continued its investigation and no additional arrests were announced.
The McLean family held a memorial service on May 15, 2011, and the three were cremated and buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Does anyone have memories of Shauna or information about the family that could add context to what happened that day?
