Mona Lynn Youtsey, 56, of Sherman, Texas, was fatally shot on June 14, 2010, while at the Sherman Elks Lodge. Born July 19, 1953, in Olathe, Kansas, she was remembered for her love of singing, tennis, and time with family and friends. The shooting was not described as random; police later said the suspect and victim knew each other.

Forty-three-year-old Marvin Wayne Graves of Sherman was found inside the lodge when officers arrived and was arrested at the scene; he was charged with murder. Authorities did not immediately release many specifics about the incident so as not to hinder the legal process. The community gathered outside the lodge after news of the shooting, and funeral services and a memorial were held at her home.

If anyone who knew Mona, attended the lodge that day, or has information about the events leading up to the shooting can help, please come forward with what you know.
