Mary Evelyn Hayes, 46, of Woodloch, Texas, was murdered at her home on July 15, 1999. After the killing at the house, Larry Hayes went to a nearby convenience store and shot the clerk, 18-year-old Rosalyn Ann Robinson.
Larry Hayes was arrested soon afterward after being spotted by a customer at the store; police found him hiding in a truck stop in Goodrich, Texas, with a gun in his waistband. Prosecutors presented evidence of heated arguments and the discovered affair; the defense argued the killings were not premeditated but the result of uncontrollable anger. A jury convicted him of capital murder and sentenced him to death.
If anyone knew Mary, her family situation, or has information about the events leading up to July 15, 1999, please share what you remember.
