Farrah Fahmida Fratta, 33, was murdered on November 9, 1994, in Humble, Texas. Born August 5, 1961, in Guildford, Surrey, England, she was a mother of three: Bradley, Daniel, and Amber, and worked for an airline company. At the time she and her husband, Robert Alan Fratta, a police officer and fireman, were estranged and embroiled in a contentious divorce and custody dispute.
On the evening of November 9 Farrah returned home after a haircut. As she exited her car in the garage an unidentified gunman ambushed her and shot her twice in the head. A neighbor witnessed the shooting and called 911; she was airlifted to a hospital but died shortly after arriving.
Investigators focused on her estranged husband after witnesses said Robert had spoken about wanting Farrah dead and asked others if they knew someone who could do it. Evidence described Robert as arranging a murder-for-hire, with Joseph Andrew Prystash identified as a middleman and Howard Paul Guidry as the shooter. All three men were arrested and charged with capital murder, and later convicted and sentenced to death.
Did anyone who knew Farrah or her family see anything unusual around the house or the neighborhood on November 9, 1994?
