Randell Lee Randy Harvey was a 15-year-old from Baytown, Texas, who vanished after finishing a shift at a Fina gas station in the Oak Forest area of Houston on March 9, 1971. He was last seen riding his bicycle to work; his bike was never recovered and his mother reported him missing two days later.

Skeletal remains later recovered from a southwest Houston boat shed were identified as Randy’s after forensic work. He had been shot in the eye with a .22-caliber firearm and had a nylon cord tied around his neck. The remains were linked to the murders carried out by Dean Corll and two teenage accomplices, David Owen Brooks and Elmer Wayne Henley. Identification rested on DNA testing, skeletal analysis, and personal items recognized by his sisters, Donna Harvey Lovrek and Lenore Lovrek McNiel, including a lock of hair and a jacket.

The identification brought long-awaited answers for the family. Did anyone who knew Randy in Baytown or Oak Forest in 1971 see him riding his bicycle to or from work?
