Jackie Gilliam was 15 when she was abducted and murdered on September 3, 1979. She and 13-year-old Jacqueline Leah Lamp were hitchhiking on September 2, 1979, when they were picked up by Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris in a van modified with a bed and a hidden compartment. The girls were taken to a remote location where they were kidnapped, raped, tortured, and killed, part of a series of five teenage victims murdered by the pair over a five-month period in Southern California in 1979.

Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris were eventually arrested and prosecuted for the crimes. Bittaker received a death sentence for the five murders. Norris accepted a plea bargain, testified against Bittaker, and was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole after 30 years. The violence inflicted on Jackie and the other victims left a lasting impact on their families and the communities affected.

If anyone knew Jackie, where she spent her time, or has information about the events of early September 1979, please share what can help clarify the case.
