Nicole Christina Schneider was 28 when she was killed on December 15, 1994, in Miami, Florida. Born August 19, 1966, in Minneapolis, she had experienced periods of homelessness and had multiple arrests related to prostitution. Her fully-clothed body was found near the Tamiami Trail, close to a shopping center where investigators had set up a command post for an ongoing investigation into a series of killings.
Nicole is identified as the fifth known victim of Rory Enrique Conde, the Tamiami Trail Strangler, whose murders of sex workers in the Miami area occurred between September 1994 and January 1995. Nicole’s death helped authorities recognize a pattern along the Tamiami Trail and intensified efforts to find the killer. Conde’s series of murders ended with the killing of 21-year-old Rhonda Dunn on January 12, 1995, and his arrest followed soon after.
If anyone knew Nicole or has information about her life or death, please share what you can.
