Tina Renee Gibbs was 26 when she was killed on May 16, 1998. Identified in the text as a prostitute from Las Vegas, she was one of four women later linked to Wayne Adam Ford’s 1997–1998 killing spree. Ford’s admitted pattern included sexual assault followed by strangulation and, in some cases, mutilation. Gibbs’ remains were found in an aqueduct in Kern County, California, in June 1998, weeks after her death.

Ford walked into the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office in November 1998 carrying a severed woman’s breast and confessed to killing Gibbs and three other women, including Lanette Deyon White, 25, and Patricia Anne Tamez, 29. His work as a long-haul truck driver was mentioned as enabling extensive travel and selection of victims. The case underscores the particular vulnerability of marginalized women.

If anyone knew Tina Gibbs or has information about her life or movements in 1998, please share what you know.
