John Walter Williams, a 78-year-old white man, died on January 11, 2001, at Nocona General Hospital in Nocona, Texas. His death was later determined to be a homicide linked to a pattern of patient deaths that occurred during the winter of 2000–2001.

Hospital staff noticed a sudden increase in patient deaths during certain shifts. An internal inquiry found vials of Mivacron were missing, and all the deaths had occurred when licensed vocational nurse Vickie Dawn Jackson was on duty. Investigators concluded she used the muscle relaxant mivacurium chloride to stop patients’ breathing; Williams is one of the confirmed victims in that series.

Anyone who knew John Williams, worked at Nocona General Hospital around that time, or has information about patient care during those shifts is asked to come forward with what they remember.
