Peggy Donath was 22 when she was last seen at her home in the Paddock Meadows trailer park on July 14, 1982. Her partially decomposed body was found a week later, on July 21, 1982, on Williams Road near the Riggs Quarry in Boone County, Missouri. An autopsy ruled her death a homicide.

Despite a formal investigation, no suspects have been publicly named and no arrests have been announced. The case eventually went cold but remains open with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, which continues to seek information that could break the case.
