On the morning of April 13, 2025, deputies in Solano County found the burned body of a man on Cherry Glen Road in Vacaville. He was identified as 58-year-old Adam Muela, a resident of Bay Point. An autopsy showed he had been shot multiple times before his body was set on fire, and investigators classified the case as a homicide.
After an investigation that included evidence collection, witness interviews and forensic analysis, two people were arrested on April 22, 2025: 52-year-old Clifton Summerise and a 42-year-old Vallejo resident identified by the sheriff’s office as Maria DeLeon; booking records list her as Maria Anita Williams. Charges reported include murder and robbery. Authorities say the motive remains under investigation and have not disclosed whether Muela knew the suspects or what led up to the killing.
