Just came across some details about the tragic shooting of Erick Velasquez at the Walgreens in Madera. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I can't imagine what they're going through right now. It's so unsettling to think that this violent act was allegedly spurred by the suspect's resentment toward corporate pharmacies. I'm trying to wrap my head around what drives someone to take such a drastic and destructive course of action. It's especially chilling to hear that surveillance footage showed the suspect waving his gun at the cameras before the shooting. It sounds like Fernandez wanted to make a statement, but at the cost of an innocent life. I hope the investigation uncovers more about what exactly led to this. In the meantime, my thoughts are with Erick’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
