Christian Rodriguez Hernandez was 17 and from King City, California, when he was fatally shot while riding a bicycle on the evening of February 28, 2025. Surveillance footage reportedly shows multiple gunmen firing more than a dozen rounds before fleeing. The shooting happened on 3rd Street near a Catholic church.

Within hours, five suspects were taken into custody: 20-year-old Adrian Juarez and four juveniles, the youngest 15. Authorities believe the group, all from Greenfield, may have come to King City looking for rival gang members and that Christian may have been caught in the crossfire. King City’s police chief expressed alarm about the recruitment of very young individuals into gang activity.

Funeral services were arranged at Alta Vista Mortuary in Salinas, with visitation March 12 and rosary and funeral mass March 13. Does anyone have information about Christian or the events that night that could help clarify what happened?
