Delvin Jaquez Ford, 27, was fatally shot in the early hours of February 9, 2025, outside a club at 901 9th Avenue South in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Police say a fight that began inside the club spilled into the parking lot and several shots were fired at about 3:19 a.m. Ford was trying to leave in his vehicle when he was struck by gunfire and crashed into a pole; he was taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital and died a short time later.

A 26-year-old woman was also wounded, suffering a gunshot to her leg and being reported in stable condition. Court records note Ford had been acquitted of second-degree murder and other serious charges stemming from a deputy-involved shooting in January 2020; those earlier proceedings ended without conviction on the most serious counts.
