Asiya La’Trece Roberts-Husband, 33, was killed in a drive-by shooting on December 27, 2024, in Haines City, Florida. She was riding in a white transport van with her 41-year-old employer near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Avenue K when an unknown assailant in a dark four-door sedan fired multiple rounds through the passenger window; surveillance footage shows shots being fired toward the back of the van. Her employer was wounded and treated; authorities say he is expected to recover.

Roberts-Husband worked at LongHorn Steakhouse in Winter Haven and helped her mother, Elrica Roberts, at Rica’s Print Pack and Ship Center. A graduate of Ridge Community High School and the second of 18 siblings, she leaves a two-year-old son. Police believe she and her employer were intentionally targeted but have not established a clear motive. A $7,500 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest and the Haines City Police Department is investigating.

Did anyone in Haines City see the dark sedan or have information about this attack?
