On the night of January 15, 2025, a dispute among four young men walking along Trammell Road near the east entrance to Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia, ended when one person produced a firearm and opened fire. Jerome Franklin, 20, and 18-year-old Caden Moss were both fatally shot. Surveillance footage showed the four together shortly before the shooting, and officers found the roadside strewn with shell casings.
Investigators concluded the attack was not random but grew out of a conflict within the group and say the shooting was the culmination of a pre-planned robbery. None of the individuals were believed to be students at the nearby university. By mid-March 2025, authorities had obtained warrants and made multiple arrests; five suspects were taken into custody and a sixth, 18-year-old Daisha Ryan, was later arrested and charged with felony murder, armed robbery, and being a party to the commission of a crime.
Does anyone have information about the men who were walking together that night or the events that led up to the robbery?
