Christian Burgau, 20, was found fatally shot and left in bushes in front of a residence on St. Michael Drive in Harvey, Louisiana, on April 23, 2025. The shooting was described as a violent encounter that ended in his death, and friends and family have publicly mourned the loss.

Investigators identified two 19-year-old suspects. Desmin Chaisson was apprehended and taken into custody and is charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice. Authorities say a second suspect, Justin Smith Jr., is being sought on the same charges. No motive has been publicly disclosed.
