Antonyo ’Tony’ Joseph Famularo, 42, was found dead from gunshot wounds at his home on Mount Hennan Cut Road in Kentwood, Louisiana shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Deputies from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office responded after reports of a shooting and discovered Famularo deceased at the scene.
Investigators identified 32-year-old Willie Elzy Wells Jr. as a suspect and sought him in connection with the killing, saying the incident appeared to stem from a drug-related dispute. A warrant was issued charging Wells with first-degree murder, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Authorities at one point believed he had been seen near Highways 440 and 1054 and intensified the search in that area.
Wells was taken into custody on a Saturday in early May after a manhunt that involved a K-9 unit. Anyone who knew Famularo or has information about the shooting is asked to come forward.
