Late on Friday, March 28, 2025, a shooting in the 4000 block of Silver Hill Road in Suitland, Maryland, left two men dead and another injured. Officers found 32-year-old Antonio Magruder of District Heights inside a local business with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Nearby in a vehicle, 56-year-old Darrell Mason of Suitland had also been shot and was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later. A third man sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Investigators say the suspect was known to at least one of the victims. The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit identified and arrested 31-year-old Marc Carter of Temple Hills. Carter has been charged with counts including first- and second-degree murder and is being held in Department of Corrections custody on no-bond status.
