Jaleale Simmons, 20, was shot and killed on Saturday, March 15, 2025, in a third-floor residence at 983 Rodman Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. Responding Fall River police and EMS found Simmons with a gunshot wound to the chest; he was taken to St. Anne’s Hospital and pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Police say the shooting followed a physical altercation between Simmons and his 17-year-old brother. Their mother reportedly tried to separate them by pushing Simmons into his bedroom. The younger brother, identified as Jaylen Anthony Lambert, is alleged to have left briefly, returned with a firearm fitted with an extended magazine, and then shot Simmons in the chest after the argument resumed.
Lambert was arrested, arraigned in Fall River District Court, and charged with murder, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm Without an FID Card. He pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail; Massachusetts law requires he be tried as an adult on a murder charge. The case is under investigation by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, Fall River Police, and Homicide Unit prosecutors.
If anyone knew Jaleale, the household, or saw activity near 983 Rodman Street around midday on March 15, did you see or hear anything that could help investigators?
