A late-evening shooting in Bellevue ended the life of 21-year-old Jaydon Palma on January 20, 2025. Officers responded around 7:56 p.m. to the 7500 block of South 50th Street after reports of gunfire and found Palma with a gunshot wound. He was treated at the scene and taken to Nebraska Medicine, where he died.
Investigators said the shooting did not appear random. Two teenagers were arrested: 18-year-old Oscar Salazar of Bellevue was charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and other weapons offenses; 18-year-old Alondra Romero-Figueroa of Bellevue was charged with two counts of accessory to a felony—first-degree murder. Prosecutors alleged Salazar had threatened multiple people and that Romero-Figueroa provided transportation to and from the scene. A judge denied bond for Salazar and set Romero-Figueroa’s bond at $5 million.
Friends and family remembered Palma, a former Millard South High School student known as Spooky, who worked at Amazon, Oriental Trading Company, and Marco’s Pizza. If anyone knew Jaydon, saw activity on South 50th Street on the night of January 20, 2025, or has other information, please come forward.
