On January 5, 2025, an Aberdeen birthday party in the 1300 block of North Sewards Court erupted into violence that left 18-year-old Kylonne Edward Taylor dead. Deputies arrived about 12:34 a.m. and found two people with gunshot wounds; Jaylen Jackson suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot to his foot and was taken to a hospital, while Taylor was located in the basement with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead after deputies attempted life-saving measures.
Investigators say four people entered the home uninvited, prompting a confrontation during which shots were fired. Four suspects were identified and arrested within 24 hours: 18-year-old Tyjeir Cole of Aberdeen; a 17-year-old from Abingdon charged as an adult; 18-year-old Amir Dorsey of Edgewood; and 18-year-old Quinton Jackson of Edgewood. Cole and the juvenile face second-degree murder charges and were held without bail. Dorsey and Quinton Jackson were charged with illegal possession of ammunition and released on their own recognizance.
A handgun reported stolen from North Carolina was recovered near the victim, though detectives say it is not believed to be the murder weapon. The firearm used in the killing has not been recovered but was tied to an earlier Baltimore City incident where no injuries were reported. If anyone at the party or nearby that night has information, please come forward.
