A June 23, 2023 home invasion in Alexandria, Louisiana left one resident critically injured and a suspect at large. In the early morning hours a 34-year-old man, Andrew D. Howard, allegedly forced his way into an apartment on Lakeside Drive and opened fire, critically wounding 25-year-old Tyruin Green. Green and another occupant fled on foot to seek help; officers responding to a 12:48 a.m. call found the scene and transported Green to a local hospital.

Alexandria Police identified Andrew D. Howard as the alleged assailant and obtained an arrest warrant charging him with home invasion and attempted first-degree murder. Authorities described Howard as armed and dangerous and asked the public for help locating him.
