On the night of February 12, 2025, Joshua Amon Littles, 26, was found dead on a carport in Picayune, Mississippi, from a fatal gunshot wound. Officers first responded to Fern Drive about 10:09 p.m. after a report of a possible overdose and a man running toward a vehicle. Nearby on Martin Luther King Boulevard they located two cars with flashing lights and a man later identified as Tyler Wilcox, who had a handgun in his waistband and was acting erratically. Wilcox was tased, taken into custody, and transported to a hospital for evaluation after saying he had been laced with an unknown substance.
At the Fern Drive residence officers discovered Littles’ body and evidence that the house had been fired upon. Authorities identified Wilcox as the primary suspect and charged him in connection with Littles’ death; the initial murder and attempted murder counts were later amended to include shooting into a dwelling, attempted home invasion, and possession of a stolen firearm. The investigation into the full circumstances remains ongoing. If anyone has information about Joshua Littles that could help the investigation, please come forward.
