On a Monday night in Brooksville, Mississippi, a car crash on Highway 145 led officers to a far more serious scene. Inside the wrecked vehicle was 20-year-old Rodriquez Kendarius Pippin, a Brooksville resident and a 2022 graduate of Noxubee High School, who had died from an apparent gunshot wound. The local police chief called the shooting senseless and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation was asked to assist the Brooksville Police Department.
An 18-year-old man, Robert Jennings of Scooba, was taken into custody at the scene and later charged with murder; he was booked into the Lowndes County Jail with bond set at $500,000 and an MBI hold. The Noxubee County Coroner said an autopsy would be performed to determine the precise cause of death. Community leaders urged people to come forward with information and to avoid taking matters into their own hands.
If anyone knew Rodriquez Pippin or has information about what happened on Highway 145 that night, please share what you know.
