Fourteen-year-old Jackie Jude Strahle was found dead on January 28, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. According to investigators, her body was located in a nearby field, wrapped in bedsheets, a sleeping bag and layers of insulation; she had been shot multiple times. Jackie’s family remembered her as a teenager who enjoyed music, car rides and time with family.

Greene County deputies were called after Jackie was reported missing and responded to a Springfield residence where a witness said 18-year-old Evrinn Worlds lived and was in a relationship with Jackie. A search of the property uncovered possible blood smears near and on the back door. A K9 unit later found Jackie in the field. Witnesses told investigators they had seen Jackie at the residence on the morning of January 27 and that someone was seen carrying a black trash bag that evening. One witness said Worlds allegedly told them a minor had shot Jackie and that Worlds showed them Jackie’s body at the top of a staircase but did not report the shooting.

Worlds was arrested February 14 in Madison County, Illinois, and extradited to Springfield. Does anyone have information about Jackie, the residence, or the events of January 27?
