Natchez resident Keyuan King, 24, was killed in a shooting on New Year’s Eve on Fingers Lane. King, identified by family as Kejuan DeUnta’ King, was struck by multiple gunshots and taken to Merit Health Natchez; four other victims were also transported and several people at the scene who may have been hurt declined treatment. King graduated from Natchez High School in 2019, worked for P & S Trucking Company, enjoyed rodeoing, hunting, fishing and riding four-wheelers, and is survived by a daughter, his parents and numerous siblings.

The investigation moved quickly into Vicksburg: on the evening of January 1 three suspects were located and arrested without incident at a Rodeway Inn on Pemberton Boulevard. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is handling the ongoing probe and has not released the names of those taken into custody.
