Keith Sparrow, 18, vanished from Victorville, California after leaving his Spring Valley Lake home on August 26, 1991. That morning he was described as cheerful and even gave his infant daughter a bath for the first time. Later the same day an acquaintance, Octavio Tavo Romero, arrived and the two left together. Sparrow did not take personal belongings such as his wallet and was never heard from again.

Investigators later linked Sparrow’s disappearance to drug sales and believe his remains may be buried in the Adelanto area, but his body has never been found. Romero was charged in 2012 in connection with Sparrow’s case and with the killing of another mutual acquaintance, Spencer Watts, who was found shot in a shallow grave days after Sparrow disappeared. Keith’s family still has no confirmed location for his remains.
