Elaine Ford was 28 when she vanished from Cleveland in spring 1990. She was Black, about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall, roughly 120 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, a scar on her left hand and a large knot on her neck. She reportedly wore heavy makeup and a Jheri curl wig and was last seen in a black or brown skirt.

At the time she lived on the east side of Cleveland about 1.5 miles from her family home and was said to be living with a man named Ted, who also disappeared after Elaine went missing. Extensive checks of financial, housing and Social Security records have turned up no trace of her. The Cleveland Police Department continues to list the case as active.
