Jayden Da’Shaun Braden, 18, was shot and killed at his home on Whatley Street in Columbia, Tennessee, on the evening of Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Family members described him as a kind, humble, hardworking young man who planned to graduate from Columbia Central High School and study computer engineering. He worked at Wendy’s, enjoyed PC gaming and fishing, and had a cat named Ginger.

According to family accounts, an 18-year-old associate, Alijah Wolflin, arrived at the house around 5:30 p.m. Jayden recognized him and went to the door; family members say Wolflin then began shooting. Jayden was struck by multiple gunshots, collapsed inside the home, and was taken to Maury Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

Columbia Police identified and arrested Wolflin at another Columbia residence. He was charged with First Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Felony, Reckless Endangerment, and Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death. Authorities say the two teenagers were known to each other and that there was no ongoing threat to the public.

If anyone knew Jayden or has information about the shooting, please come forward to assist the investigation.
