Three people were found shot to death at a home on Poplar Hill Drive in Cross, South Carolina, on a Monday afternoon in January 2025. Victims included 56-year-old Thomas Williams of Ridgeville, 46-year-old Torrionda Taylor of Cross, and 55-year-old Marsena Moore of Summerville. The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and the county coroner’s office opened a triple homicide investigation.

Berkeley County investigators later arrested 67-year-old Leroy Alexander Witherspoon. He was charged with three counts of murder in connection with the deaths and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Authorities have not released a motive and continue to investigate the circumstances of the shootings.
