Justin Tyler Camacho, 21, of Corpus Christi, Texas, was shot in the parking lot of Windrush Apartments on the 4300 block of Kostoryz Road on January 26, 2025. Corpus Christi Police responded about 6:38 p.m.; Camacho was taken to a local hospital and died of his injuries.

The investigation led to multiple arrests. Eighteen-year-old Guillermo Martinez was taken into custody near the 100 block of Buccaneer Drive and charged with Capital Murder and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Seventeen-year-old Angel Galindo was arrested on similar warrants for Capital Murder and Engaging in Organized Crime; officers found a handgun on him and charged him with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Seventeen-year-old Aaron Fuentes and 19-year-old Eduardo Hernandez-Carrizales were also arrested on related charges.

Camacho is remembered by family as a devoted husband, loving father, son, brother, and uncle who brought joy and laughter to those around him. A community fundraiser was organized to help with funeral expenses and other needs. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact authorities.
