Hannah Baygents was fatally shot outside a hotel parking lot in northeast Houston on January 25, 2025. Responding officers arrived at about 4:50 p.m. on the 17607 Eastex Freeway and found Baygents with a gunshot wound; she was later pronounced dead.

Authorities have arrested 26-year-old Romeo Deshawn Senegal and charged him with murder in connection with the shooting. Reports say an argument preceded the incident, though the nature of that dispute has not been released. Senegal is being held on a $200,000 bond and is expected to appear in court soon.

Are there witnesses or local readers who saw activity in the hotel parking lot that afternoon and can share what they know?
