On December 29, 2024, 19-year-old Fandashia Guillory was fatally shot in the 4300 block of Fonville Avenue in Beaumont, Texas. Officers responding to a welfare check at about 7 p.m. found Guillory with a gunshot wound to the chest; she was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital and later died of her injuries.

Authorities say Guillory had been involved in an argument with her girlfriend and roommate, 19-year-old Ava Fay Musgrove, before the shooting. The probable cause affidavit alleges Musgrove retrieved a handgun and fired a single shot; Musgrove later admitted to law enforcement that she shot Guillory. Musgrove was arrested, charged with murder, and booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on $800,000 bond. An indictment was issued on January 15, 2025. The case is being treated as a family violence homicide and the investigation remains ongoing.

Neighbors described Guillory as quiet and reserved and said they sometimes heard loud arguments. If anyone has information that could help investigators, please come forward.
