Joseph Deandre Jefferson, 23, was shot and killed in north Las Vegas on the night of December 7, 2013. Officers found him just before 10 p.m. in the parking lot of a Family Market near H Street and Owens; he had been shot while inside a vehicle.

Multiple witnesses were interviewed, but descriptions were limited to an unknown Black male firing a weapon in the parking lot. One witness said they heard about 10 shots while leaving a nearby dollar store and saw a crowd that looked like it was fighting. Despite those interviews, investigators were unable to identify or arrest a suspect and the case later went cold.

Anyone who was in the area that night or has information about the shooting is asked to come forward.
