Anthony Gianuzzi, 21, and his girlfriend Stacey Siegrist, 19, were found murdered along a dirt power line access road near Canal and Alta streets in Rubidoux, California. Their bodies were discovered on May 5, 1990, after Gianuzzi had been missing for nearly two days. Both victims had been shot twice—once in the side of the head and once in the back of the neck—and Siegrist had also been sexually assaulted.

Investigators later linked the double homicide to Alfredo Rolando Prieto. In 2010 Riverside County’s cold case unit submitted evidence to a private laboratory that confirmed Prieto’s DNA was present at the scene. Authorities said they delayed publicly announcing the findings to avoid influencing jurors in Prieto’s Virginia trial. Investigators have stated they believe Prieto may have had one or two accomplices, but no additional suspects have been formally charged.

No charges specific to the Rubidoux murders had been filed as of the last publicly reported development. Anyone with information about Anthony or Stacey’s deaths is asked to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
