Bernard Hanson was 50 when he left his Bay Shore, New York, home on February 17, 1982, and was never seen or heard from again. He is described as Black/African American with gray or partially gray hair and brown eyes. At the time he disappeared he reportedly wore a snorkel coat, black pants, and black lace-up shoes.
The Suffolk County Police Department handled the investigation, but the case produced few clues and no significant leads have been publicly disclosed. Over the decades the disappearance has gone cold, with no witnesses or evidence reported that explain what happened after he left his residence.
Does anyone who lived in Bay Shore in 1982 or who knew Bernard have information that could help clarify his last movements?
